Catholic Global Compact on the Family
On the occasion of the “Amoris Laetitia Family” Year proclaimed by Pope Francis, the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life (DLFV) and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences (PASS), in collaboration with the International Center for Family Studies (CISF) in Milan, will launch the Catholic Global Compact on the Family in 2022.
The purpose of the project is to promote and coordinate the scientific work of the
Study and Research Centers on the Family specialized on family issues that are present and active in Catholic Universities throughout the five continents, in order to elaborate a
Compact, that is, a joint program of actions promoting the family all over the world in light of the
Amoris Laetitia.
More specifically, by including Catholic universities, the
Catholic Global Compact on the Family aims at defining the most appropriate family policies on a global level, in order to align the various proposals of social and family policies with the indications of the Social Doctrine of the Church, and promote them all world-wide.
